Work: This is where I use to work-now I work down the hallway.
This photo documents a moment where in the middle of the day I was the only one in the office. (If you know where to look you can find alcohol on campus, and the team decided to have a mid day drink after lunch)
My second counselors beach house. Not a bad view. Playing on the beach between sessions was a great way to spend the day.
Easter: I have no picture of how I spent my Easter.
We did attend a big potluck ham dinner that was delicious. There was even an easter egg hunt involved. We were told that there was an egg with a $100 dollar bill in one of them. Turns out, Easter was also on April Fool's Day. So joke was on us, after looking for far too long for the "missing egg".
For some reason, this pole is at the top of the hike.
Grateful I brought a sweatshirt.
And this is how I spent one weekend in April:
Lexis, one of my life long best friends, came to visit me for a wonderful 3 days. We spent the better part of a Friday exploring San Fransisco.
Lexis was not impressed with the Painted Ladies, to quote: "Why are these famous?"
Lunch at B. Patisserie was delicious
Karl the fog made an appearance at the Golden Gate. (Yes the fog really has a name, and yes, it does have it's own instagram account)
We popped on over to China town, where I watched a very aggressive card game. I understood nothing.
I'm grateful for strangers who will stand in the middle of the road to take pictures for you.
The street performers let me join the band. You can hear us play on Fridays at the Painted Lantern.
Turns out, it is just this small room and there isn't that much that goes into making fortune cookies.
We walked through little Italy, Fisherman's Warf, the Musée Mécanique Arcade, Pier 39, and Boudin's. Your typical SF tourist traps.
Then we walked to Ghirardelli and flirted our way into extra samples-the boys there told us we could try any flavor we wanted.
TBH, this meal was nothing to write home about.
They did have this photo back drop set up, please enjoy my awkward face.
Can you tell I walked ten miles that day? Yet Lexis somehow looks like she just took a light stroll to the mailbox. Anyway, I recommend the buttermilk bar.
The next day we participated in my wards spike ball tournament at the beach. It was a perfect beach day spent playing/watching spike ball, eating, playing volleyball, laying out, and being with friends,
Best friends for life.
